Members of the German Society of Pushkin Visited the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov

27.09.2016

On September 23–26, the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov welcomes the representatives of the German Society of Pushkin.

The Society is headed by Countess Clotilda von Rintelen, a great-great-granddaughter of A.S.Pushkin, who lives in Wiesbaden. The Countess had visited Vyoshenskaya earlier, but this time she couldn’t come, and the German delegation of Pushkin scholars was headed by Dietmar Studemann.

Our guests set out on a journey around Russia on September 19, beginning with a visit to the State Museum of A.S.Pushkin in Moscow. Then they visited the Museum-Reserve “Muranovo Estate” named after F.I.Tyutchev and Museum Estate of I.S.Turgenev “Spasskoye-Lutovinovo”. The next destination was the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov.

During the three days the guests attended the exhibition telling about the life and work of the great writer and went sightseeing of the historical and natural monuments.

Our guests liked very much the atmosphere of the Museum, meetings with people of interest, a variety of exhibitions, richness and splendor of the autumn nature of Sholokhov country, kindness and attention of the museum employees.

To remember about Vyoshenskaya the Pushkin scholars took with them souvenirs made by their hands, and bright impressions about the Don hospitality.
