NewsHeroes of Sholokhov’s Works in Kazan05.07.2016On July 15, the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve presents its exhibition “Samples of the Unfading Pages”.Book Graphics on the Works by M.A.Sholokhov” in the National Museum of the Tatar Republic, the major regional museum in Russia. The exhibition presented in Kazan will show the works of the famous masters of graphics: Orest Vereisky, Yury Rebrov, Vladimir Goldyayev, Vladimir Baklanov, Valentina Petrova, Leonid Petrov and Kukryniksy. Each of the illustrators is unique in a drawing style, they made talented illustrations to “And Quiet Flows the Don”, “Virgin Soil Upturned”, “Tales from the Don”, “They Fought for Their Country”, “The Fate of a Man”. The visitors will have an opportunity to value the variety of the artists’ works and to read and comprehend the works by M.A.Sholokhov in a new way. Very interesting is the writer’s portrait made in an original manner by artist V.F.Dorozhinsky. The work is carried out in a cursive printed text including more than eight chapters of “Virgin Soil Upturned”. The photographs and works by M.A.Sholokhov supplementing the exhibition will help the residents and guests of Kazan to understand deeper the work of the famous writer, the world of Sholokhov’s personages and the beauty of the Don country.
