The Summer in the Children Museum Centre

The start of the summer holidays has brought a flow of young visitors to the Children Museum Centre. The children from the recreation camp “Kolosok” of the Bokovsky District, summer grounds of secondary and sport schools of the Sholokhov District and the sanatorium “Vyoshensky” have become participants in competitions, games and different master-classes.

The children take part in master-classes, “travel” into the past and learn about the culture of the Upper Don Cossacks.

The interactive game “Visiting Don Cossacks” is supplemented this year with new topics “A Needle-Case “Horse” and “Paper Flower”, and the children make funny horses and beautiful flowers and decoration of coloured paper. The young visitors take their souvenirs with them.

The master-classes were actively joined by the second-year students of the Vyoshensky Pedagogical College. The students had a practical training in “Tourism”. They got acquainted with the Museum as an enterprise of tourism and service, its main destinations, system of labour organization, methods of development and holding of the museum-classes.
