Museums are Getting Ready for the Football World Cup

In Taganrog, on June 2, there was held a meeting of Council for Culture and Art with the Rostov Region Governor. The work was joined by A.M.Sholokhov, Director of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve.

The members of the meeting discussed the strategy of preparation of the Don region museum complex for receiving the participants and guests of the football World Cup in 2018.

The Council members approved of the idea of developing new tourist itineraries: “The Don Archaeology”, “Cossack Don”, “Literary Don” and others, provision of the museums with information in foreign languages and their technical re-equipment. A.M.Sholokhov handed the Governor a set of the documents on development of tourist navigation which is the most important component of the quality services for visitors.

Following the meeting the proposals were worked out and concrete assignments were given on the main directions of museum work during the preparations for the world championship.
