Interesting Meeting in Literary Salon

On May 13, 2016, an opening ceremony of Literary Salon took place in the Social Service Centre of the Pervomaisky District of Rostov-on-Don. The Literary Salon began its work with a public reading of “The Shame Child” by M.A.Sholokhov. The workers of Sholokhov-Centre on behalf of the Museum greeted the guests and took part in the public reading.

On May 20, 2016, the members of the Literary Salon of the Social Service Centre of Rostov-on-Don Pervomaisky District visited Sholokhov-Centre of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov.

The visit began with attending the exhibition “Sholokhov’s Personages in Cinema” which was followed by the meeting of the guests of Sholokhov-Centre with N.I.Stopchenko, culturology doctor, professor of the Don Academy of Sciences and a friend of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. He lectured on the theme “Perception of the Work of M.A.Sholokhov in the XXI Century” and answered numerous questions of the guests. During the meeting a documentary of L.Mazrukho about the creative work of M.A.Sholokhov was shown.

The talk was continued in the museum café area. The guests answered the questions of the quiz on the writer’s work, shared their impressions and opinions, watched the film about the events of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov and had tea of the Don herbs.

The meeting was emotional and informative. Love for man, for the Country, for the Don land, for the work of M.A.Sholokhov embraced all our guests on that day.
