NewsA Star Called Sun06.05.2016The workers of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov within the project “Environmental Museum School” gave a lesson “A Star Called Sun” for the students of Sholokhov gymnasium in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya on May 6. The lesson was dedicated to the Day of the Sun, which is marked annually on the initiative of the European Department of the International Society of Solar Energy with a view to attract attention of the society to the possibility of using renewable energy sources. The aim of the museum lesson was to expand the children’s knowledge of the Sun and the possibilities of its use. The children remembered that the Sun is the nearest star to the Earth. It performs a variety of functions: it’s a powerful source of space energy, it gives light and warmth necessary for the flora and fauna and forms the most important properties of the Earth atmosphere. The schoolchildren shared their knowledge in the field of solar energy use. They guessed riddles, recited poetry and sang songs about the Sun. The lesson was interesting and informative.
