The Project “A Museum in the Museum: Dialogue of Cultures” was Presented in Stavropol

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took part in the International forum “Modern Society: to Social Cohesion, Culture and Peace”, which took place late in April in Stavropol.

During the round table talk “Problems of Formation of an Active Life Position of Young People” the Museum-Reserve presented a cultural and educational project “A Museum in the Museum: Dialogue of Cultures”, which was aimed at arousing interest to the culture of Russia, peoples and a respectful attitude to people of other nationalities and religious affiliation. The speakers told how children and young people got acquainted with the best examples of cultural heritage of Russia and foreign countries at the exhibitions brought to Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya from different parts of our country.

The unique culture of the Don Region was shown in Stavropol country at the master-classes, where children and adults with great interest learned to paint wooden spoons, make decorations and toys from felt and bast.

Only a small part of that great work of the Museum-Reserve on formation of a respectful attitude of the young generation to the traditions of different cultures, desire to study the history of the Country and their homeland was presented at the forum in Stavropol.
