On April 8, Arbor Day, the workers of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov held an interactive class for schoolchildren of Vyoshenskaya gymnasium within the project “Environmental Museum School” on the site “Forest Pearl of Russia”.

Children and adults took part in an important event: each of them planted “his” tree and will take care and look after its growth. Almost all the children planted trees for the first time. They talked about the importance of forest for man, learned about the peculiarities of different kinds of trees growing in the forest massive, tried to use “Sholokhov’s Sword” for planting. The second part of the class was named “All Relatives are not Worth a Horse”, it took place at the Stables of the Museum-Reserve. The children learned about the tradition of careful and respectful attitude to the horse, about the rules of taking care of horses, looked around the Stables and tried to ride on horseback. The children were pleased to feed the horses with carrots.

The class was ended with riding in a horse-drawn carriage and taking photos for memory.
