“Sholokhov Readings”-2016

The XVIII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Studies in the Work of M.A.Sholokhov: Problems, Concepts and Approaches” (“Sholokhov Readings”) will be held on September 7–9, 2016, in the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve (arrival day is September 6).

 

The Main Subjects of the Conference:

 

* New approaches to the study in the literary work of M.A.Sholokhov.

 

* Modern interpretations of Sholokhov’s works and images.

 

* Trends and prospects of the studies in the biography, literary and public work of M.A.Sholokhov.

 

* The world recognition of the work of M.A.Sholokhov.

 

* The study of the literary work of M.A.Sholokhov in the University and secondary school.

 

* M.A.Sholokhov: foreign and home literary studies in the XX–XXI centuries.

 

* “Tales from the Don” by M.A.Sholokhov as perceived by modern readers (for the 90th anniversary of publication the first book of “Tales from the Don” by M.A.Sholokhov).

 

* Cinematic interpretation of the works by M.A.Sholokhov: history and modernity.

 

* The story “The Fate of a Man” by M.A.Sholokhov in the context of spiritual and moral quest of modernity (for the 60th anniversary of the first publication of the story).

 

* The manuscript heritage of M.A.Sholokhov to study the text dynamics of the novel “And Quiet Flows the Don”(for the 90th anniversary of the beginning of the work over the manuscript of the novel “And Quiet Flows the Don”).
