Sholokhov Museum at the Exhibition MITT 2016

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took part in the XXIII Moscow International Exhibition “Travelling and Tourism”– MITT 2016, which took place in the Central Exhibition Complex “Expo Centre” on March 22 – 26.

MITT is a tourist exhibition number one in Russia, one of the five leading tourist exhibitions in the world. Annually it is joined by the companies from over 200 countries and regions of the world. The exhibition is organized by a group of ITE companies, the leader of the exhibition business in Russia.

In the eight exhibition halls and pavilions of the “Expo Centre”, the leading tourist market participants from the European countries, Mediterranean region, Near East, Asia, America, Africa, CIS countries and Russia demonstrated their new programs and key destinations on the eve of the tourist season. The national sections of the countries and regions showed local tourist companies, hotel sector, airlines and transport companies, tour operators, representatives of other participants of the tourist branch (national parks, sights, museums, etc.).

The National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve, in the collective section of Rostov-on-Don and the Rostov Region displayed its tourist opportunities: event programs, weekend tours, environmental and ethnographic programs, individual and group tours.

Our section was visited by the representatives of the tourist agencies, tour operators and individual visitors – travel lovers, who were attracted by colourful booklets and slide-show telling about the structures of the Museum and the Don nature. A special interest was the Museum workers wearing traditional Cossack costumes.
