Poetry Day was Marked in Vyoshenskaya

22.03.2016

The World Poetry Day was marked on March 21, in the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov with a literary recital “Poets about the Poets” which was held in the local People’s House. In the hall, on the tables there were books of poetry by different authors, the stands showed portraits of the greatest poets of Russia – Pushkin and Lermontov, Blok and Akhmatova, Mayakovsky and Yesenin, Pasternak and Vysotsky. The guests got into the atmosphere of poetry.

The leaders of the recital briefly told about the holiday of Poetry Day and about the poetic advance of the home literature. Most of the time, certainly, was given to poetry.

At the recital, A.Sholokhov, Director of the Museum-Reserve, recited poems by Pushkin, Lermontov, Stivenson, Don-Aminado and others. The works by Yesenin were performed by V.Antipov; T.Galitsyna recited poems by Dementyev; O.Sivolobova performed the poetry by Akhmatova. A.Kochetova, a former literature teacher, recited the poem “Wait for Me” by Simonov to remember of the war years and drew attention to the fine works of children’s poets of our country.

Local authors living in the stanitsa came to the recital with their poetry – S.Gribanov, F.Dautov, T.Likhovidova and T.Kalinina.

Nowadays, poetry is not so much popular as it was previously, gathering full stadiums. But the poetry will find its niche in any circumstances, as it nests in human hearts. And this was confirmed by the poetic recital in the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov.
