Classes at the Exhibition “Her Majesty Salt”

Interactive museum classes for junior schoolchildren were held at the exhibition “Her Majesty Salt” in the People’s House of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov.

Studying the exhibits from the Azov Historical, Archaeological and Paleontological Museum-Reserve the children learned about the origin of salt, its kinds and methods of extraction.

Then the young “salters” made their experiments: they prepared their own recipes of exotic salt, determined salt by touch, studied the degree of solubility and “the Dead Sea effect”.

The children took part in merry competitions, remembered proverbs and sayings about salt, guessed riddles and played fun games. Each participant in the class got a memo about choosing salt in the shop and proper using it.
