“Sholokhov-Centre” will Tell about Tolstoy

On February 18, “Sholokhov-Centre” of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov in Rostov-on-Don opens an exhibition “When You Can’t but Write…” telling about the main stages of the work of Leo Tolstoy.

The project joined by the Museum Estate of L.N.Tolstoy “Yasnaya Polyana”, the State Museum of L.N.Tolstoy, the Don State Public Library and the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve.

The visitors will learn a lot of new things about the great Russian writer, his work, the places, which served his studies in different years. In the four exhibition halls there will be a “war” study of L.N.Tolstoy, his studies in the houses of Yasnaya Polyana and Khamovniki, and a “green” study.

There will be shown memorial things from the House of Tolstoy (writing utensils, clothes, books) and the writer’s favourite bench.

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov invites for visiting the exhibition “When You Can’t but Write…”, which will run till April 15, 2016, in “Sholokhov Centre”: 125/69 Bolshaya Sadovaya, Rostov-on-Don.
