February 21, is the Memory Day of M.A.Sholokhov

On February days the admirers of the work of Mikhail Sholokhov bring fresh flowers to the writer’s monument at the River Don embankment and to his tomb. The Palace of Culture of Vyoshenskaya will held a recital devoted to the memory of the Don Cossack glorifier.
The residents and guests of the stanitsa will be shown an artistic and literary composition “Dear to Me Immensely…”, which tells about the “Bukanovskaya period” in the life of the writer, his early literary work in Moscow, writing short stories in Karghinskaya and formation of his civic stand. The audience will hear the lines from Sholokhov’s letters addressed to Mariya Petrovna, his wife, a faithful friend and a helpmate, who shared joy and misery with him.
The event begins at 15.00.
